All prospective volunteers are interviewed and prepared for their role with comprehensive training. Patient/family volunteers participate in sessions on the physical, emotional and spiritual care needs of patients and families, as well as other applicable skills. Office and community volunteers are oriented to the agency in a more condensed training session. All training sessions are provided free of charge, during daytime, weekend, and evening hours.
