Good Shepherd Hospice offers guidance and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families as they travel on a new and unfamiliar path of life. Serving as a hospice volunteer can challenge your spirit, fill your heart and enrich your own life. You are guaranteed to meet extraordinary people who will share this incredible journey with you. If you have one to four hours per week to share yourself with another, consider volunteering with Good Shepherd Hospice.
Volunteers Are the Heart of Hospice
Hospice volunteers are men and women (age 14 and older) who have a sincere desire to help others make the most of life. Volunteers are prepared for their role with a free, comprehensive training program. No previous experience in the medical field is necessary. Through training, hospice volunteers learn how to give the gift of the heart in providing emotional support, companionship and respite care to our patients and families.
If you are able to share your time with Good Shepherd Hospice, there is a variety of opportunities to choose from based on your area(s) of interest, schedule and special gifts.
We encourage people interested in volunteering with Hospice to discuss their interests and talents with our staff so that we can make your volunteer experience as rewarding for you as it is for Good Shepherd Hospice. Please click here to fill out an online volunteer information form, and you will be contacted by a Good Shepherd Hospice volunteer coordinator.
