Your gifts to Good Shepherd Hospice help others by supporting many of our vital programs and services. In honor of the many different people whose lives we touch, we offer a variety of giving opportunities to match each individuals' own level of support.
We are frequently asked by patients, family members and friends, "How can we help Good Shepherd Hospice?"
"What can we do to thank Good Shepherd Hospice for the care and support they have provided to our family?"
Memorial gifts are the most popular way to help.
Good Shepherd Hospice is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization. Good Shepherd Hospice does not turn away patients who are uninsured or otherwise unable to pay for hospice care. In 2006, Good Shepherd Hospice provided $1.8 million in charity care. In order to continue meeting the needs of patients and families who cannot pay for hospice services, we rely on community contributions.
Your tax-deductible gift to Good Shepherd Hospice will help support our charitable care programs which include: providing hospice care to those who are uninsured or otherwise unable to pay for services; Camp Braveheart for bereaved children; and the Caregiver Program, which allows patients with a fragile caregiver, or no caregiver at all, to receive hospice care where they are most comfortable - at home.
Our children and teen grief programs are made possible through the generous support of the community and are funded in part by the United Way of Central Florida. Please join us in fulfilling this very special need.
